In January, Dr. Medley and the Center for Applied Social Research
secured four contracts with local organizations, totaling $8,851.78. In
each contract CASR applies UTC's research capacity to support the
planning and evaluation needs of local organizations.
1.) Dr. Medley received $2,617 from the Tivoli Theatre/Memorial
Auditorium to conduct an Economic Impact Study through audience surveys.
2.) Dr. Medley received $1,200 from the City of Chattanooga to
assist in a study examining City employees' knowledge of and current
involvement in wellness programs, as well as goals and needs for
specific wellness programs.
3.) Dr. Medley has received $3,384.60 from the Chattanooga/Hamilton
County Regional Planning Agency to perform data collection and analysis
for a Housing Migration Survey that will help the City identify the
types of education, employment, and other factors that affected
out-migration of Chattanooga Residents to North Georgia households in
the past ten years.
4.) Dr. Medley and the CASR team have received a contract of
$1,650.18 from the City of Chattanooga to conduct a third-quarter
analysis of customer satisfaction with the city's new 311 Call System.
