This is a reminder of the UTC Women's Center-Transformation Project's Peer
Education Training. The training starts Saturday February 7, 2004. All
sessions will be held in the Women's Center; Metro 104. The Peer Education
Group is a student-led corps of volunteers that lead fellow students in a
guided discussion about the issues of sexual assault and intimate partner
violence.

The training program schedule is as follows:

Schedule:
Saturday, Feb. 7th 10 AM - 2 PM
Attend either the Feb. 9th or 10th performance of "The Vagina Monologues"
Thursday, Feb. 12th 2-5 PM
Tuesday, Feb. 17th 2-5 PM
Thursday, Feb. 19th 2-5 PM
Saturday, Feb. 21st 10 AM - 2 PM

In order to become a peer educator, all sessions must be completed in
their entirety. There is an evaluation process for the training course, as
well as documentation of participation.

The Peer Education Group is a rewarding and challenging experience. Please
encourage students to attend this training and participate in this
volunteer opportunity. We encourage both male and female involvement. It
may even be appropriate for internship/service learning credits in some
majors. If students have questions, or are interested in attending the
training session, please have them contact me at 425-5605 or
