Next Tuesday, February 24th, 2:30 - 3:30 pm, Joe Wilferth (English)
will be presenting a mini-lecture on electronic portfolios as a part
of the Faculty Fellows program. He'll address what electronic
portfolios are and how they may be used in various courses.

To be covered are issues of audience and "authentic" writing, issues
of genre transparency and hybridity, issues of ownership, and some of
the "how to" as well.

Electronic Portfolios
How does an electronic portfolio differ from a "traditional"
portfolio? Come join us as we explore options for electronic
portfolios. How does composing for an online reader/user of the
portfolio affect the students' writing process. How can you get
students motivated to produce an electronic portfolio and who owns
the portfolio? Come get some ideas for portfolios for your discipline.
