Dear Faculty and Staff,

Housing needs your help finding campus leaders. February is Resident
Assistant recruitment month and we are looking for responsible, caring and
mature students to fill Resident Assistant positions for the Fall 2004
semester. Resident Assistants are often that face of customer service for
students and parents. These "live in leaders" use their leadership skills
everyday, not just in meetings or events. These students have to be
responsible, caring and mature at all times. They move students in - move
them out and live with them daily in the halls. These students take
leadership to another level.

You probably have a few students in your class that are:

*       Punctual to class

* Devoted to their education (maintains a good average in your class)

* Resourceful (uses the University and all the resources it has to
offer).

* Mature in their dealings with peers and professors. They have to be
mature in order to handle the pressure of always be "on the job".

These are just the kind of students we're looking for. These students are
responsible, care about themselves and others, and are mature for their age.

There are a few other qualifications that they must meet:

1. 2.3 GPA (cumulative and semester)

2. Clear disciplinary record and in good standing with the university

3. International students must have a work social.

4. Must be able to attend training sessions every Thursday 3pm to 5pm.

5. Have group living experience. (Notice that a student doesn't have to
currently live on campus.)

I think if you give it a little thought (at least 3min) you could think of
at least one student in your class who fits this description. If you do,
PLEASE ask that student to apply (there's nothing that makes a student feel
more appreciated than being recommended for something special by someone
they admire!!!!)We will take applications all this month for our first round
of interviews in March.

An RA information session will also be held Thursday February 12 at 3pm in
the Raccoon Mtn. room of the UC.

Thank you for your anticipated help.

Have a great day!

Also FYI

We pay our students $1700/semester...This stipend can be used to cover the
cost of housing if they so choose!

And remember we have the BEST housing available in the state!
