Thank you so much for clearing that up. I now know exactly what it is. Connie did bring it up in a previous meeting. It just didn't dawn on my exactly what this was. I unfortunately won't be able to attend on Monday and am not sure if anyone else was planning on attending. Thank you so much for the information and we look forward to being a part of this organization.

Subject: Re: June 18 Tennessee Presenters Meeting - Last Minute Info
Hello Rita -
Someone from your organization - Allied Arts Council of Cleveland and
Bradley County - sent us a check to join a couple of weeks ago; I've
been out of town for some time and just now am getting around to
getting you logged onto our listserve. I think Connie Gatlin initially
found out about us by way of Larry Kosson at SMG Artists who apparently
convinced you or Connie to join.
Tennessee Presenters is for people like you and me - folks who hire
performing artists and produce the shows for our community. We were
founded last summer after years of effort by the Tennessee Arts
Commission to get such an organization going. The basic mission
statement we came up with says:
"Tennessee Presenters is a not-for-profit association composed of
professional performing arts presenting organizations throughout
Tennessee and affiliates who share the mission of bringing artists and
audiences together. Tennessee Presenters is a member-based resource
network created in the spirit of non-competitive cooperation and
dedicated to the availability, variety, and affordability of
professional touring arts and entertainment attractions presented
throughout the state of Tennessee. Tennessee Presenters provides its
membership with opportunities for cooperative booking, educational
services, performing arts showcases, collaborative marketing and
creative communication. "
There is a good deal of information about us at www.tnpresenters.org. I
hope this web site will give you some more understanding of our mission
and how we hope to help .
It may be that you would prefer someone else in the council to be on
this list; if that is the case, I will be glad to change our list to
reflect your preference.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at 870-0563 (I'm
working out of the house right now while I'm on my two-month break from
UTC). After July 16, I will also be back at my office and that number
is 425-4379.
I look forward to your organization's interest and participation in the
coming year.
Regards,
Bob Boyer
