Howdy, folks!

Hope everyone’s enjoying the first days of spring. And that means it’s time for your first reminder to set your calendars for Monday, May 20, 2019 – it’s the Tennessee Presenters annual meeting!

This year, we’re going to visit the Community Room of the Administration Building on Columbia State’s Franklin Campus (campus address: 1228 Liberty Pike, Franklin, TN 37067). See the attached map for the location of the Admin building on the campus. Lunch will be catered by Daily Dish – we’ll have our choice of three sandwiches – Italian, roasted turkey and brie, and albacore tuna. As always, there’s no registration fee for this meeting.

Our plan this year, following the business meeting/election, is to continue our discussion from last year. Claire is checking with Franklin Theatre’s ED, Dan Hays, to facilitate/direct our conversation this year as we work to focus our thoughts from last year into actions and goals we can accomplish as an organization to begin going where we said we wanted to go. To do this, we need as many of you as possible in attendance so we can hear your voices. Agents and artists are just as important in this conversation as presenters – as we will be working to create better methods of delivering the resources you’ve identified as needing/wanting with the end result being an organization that will attract more members of all types. We had a great meeting last year identifying some interesting – and (to me, anyway) gratifying – reasons for membership in Tennessee Presenters. This year we need to begin developing the actions that will get us where we want to go. Which means we need as many of you as possible in the conversation.

So put May 20 on your calendar. We’ll get started promptly at 9:30 am with some coffee and the business meeting, hopefully finishing between 10 and 10:30 so we have about four hours to really concentrate on this effort.

Go ahead and post up here if you can attend; I’ll start the headcount sheet for Daily Dish. I know a couple of you are unable to be with us; we’ll make sure to get our thoughts from the meeting collected and disseminated as quickly as possible for you.

See you in a month!

Regards,

Bob
