Subject: [EXTERNAL] Marshall County Community Theatre question

Dear Mr. Morrison:

This is probably an unusual question and may not be one you are equipped to answer, but our non-profit Marshall County Community Theatre is struggling with our credit card vendor. We have all volunteers with no paid employees so that our credit card company won’t classify us for a business card, but they have made it difficult to verify our profile otherwise. Our Bank of America card was first obtained in 1996, and we have an excellent credit history, but they have made it difficult to continue. I am forced to drive more than forty miles to the nearest Bank of America with all our corporate charter and state records (which I did two years ago also) to try to keep our account open.

Are you aware of credit card vendors who are friendly to non-profits with no paid employees to be accountable for payment of charges? If not, do you have a suggestion for someone to advise us? Surely, we aren’t the only one with this problem. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Ginger Hardison, treasurer of MCCT
