We present a number of master classes and workshops for UTC students - I’m addressing that in another section of the report with comments from Theatre and Music faculty. I’m also getting some local dance and theatre folks to speak to not only the masterclasses we provide to area high school students (particularly dance) but to the impact of those on the community as well. I’m also adding in a component that we began last year with my cell mates at the Southeast Center for Education in The Arts where we do specific workshops for teachers utilizing the Patten’s programming. Laurie Melnik, the Center’s interim Director, and I met with Sherri and her folks at TPAC last Thursday to get a better feel for how to structure this effort going forward as we’ve only done one such workshop together so far.
