Subject: Renewing Membership, June 18 Meeting Preparation

Hey gang,

Hope everyone had a good season this year. I'm looking forward to next
season, thanks in large part to everyone on this list. Your friendship,
support, and yes, blocks, have made this a first rate year for me. I
hope it has for you as well.

Which brings me to the subject at hand. It's time to ask for your money
again. We mailed out letters to each of you today, as well as everyone
who was in attendance at Dickson last summer (has it really been that
long?) asking for you to continue (or join for the first time) this
organization we are all using in so many different ways.

Just to touch on the highlights of this first year:

30 plus charter members (NCPC had only 8) signed up.
11 blocks were formed (at last count) for over $70,000 in savings to
presenters and over 50 dates for artists.
2 booking conferences were completed without any food fights.
Carla has been identified as a great in-house resource for sponsorship
how-tos and information.
Buster led some of us who were brave enough on some merry drinking
adventures.
And perhaps most important, presenters talked to each other more. A lot
more.

We would like to expand on that year's worth of success and do even more
in the future, but we continue to need your support to do so. That
support comes in two forms over the coming two months:

1) Your membership renewal check (mail it to Ellen Kimball at PO Box 95,
Athens, TN 37303), and

2) Your input as we plan next year and beyond. Already, we're working on
our own showcase conference for the summer of 2008 and we need to hear
from you about what you want and need so we can design this conference
to help you.

So. Thanks for sending in your check. Really, thanks. And would you
please take a moment to rank the lists (one for presenters and one for
agents & artists) below and e-mail those rankings back to me so I can
tally them up. We've only had four of five responses so far and I'd like
a better sampling than that.

Many thanks again,

Bob
