Thanks. I understand.
You raise some questions which others need answering, though, so let me
go through your e-mail for other's edification.
1) The artist fee is per organization - not per person.
2) Generally speaking, presenters are more flexible early in the week
when the houses are dark. That's not always the case, and it always
presents a dilemma for scheduling - but we are aware of that factor.
3) The fee structure can be adjusted and your input on that issue is
needed. At this point, I'm trying to prepare a "most expensive case"
scenario for everyone to consider before we jump off this cliff
together. The board has been particularly sensitive to the showcase
fees for artists and there has been considerable discussion about those
fees. But we have to make the numbers work and this was our best shot
initially at balancing artists' budgets with the goal of getting as
many artists as possible in front of as many presenters as possible.
