AVAILABLE FOR CONCERTS AND EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR

The Southern Excursion Quartet features some of Tennessee's finest jazz musicians.  Saxophonist Don Aliquo currently heads the jazz department at MTSU in Murfreesboro.  Drummer Tom Giampietro is one of the most in-demand musicians on the Nashville scene and also teaches at Vanderbilt and MTSU.  Bassist Jonathan Wires is one of the young rising stars in the Tennessee jazz scene.  PIanist Michael Jefry Stevens is internationally recognized equally as a composer, pianist and educator and currently resides in Memphis.

All members of the quartet reside and work in Tennessee.  We are available for performances at your venue throughout the year, as we are active residents of the State.  We can usually accommodate your schedule. We are able to perform concerts, workshop/concerts, or just workshops for widely diverse audiences.

The quartet is also available for touring funding through the Tennessee Commission and Southern Arts Federation.
