Fran Gray from Tullahoma and Blake Smith from Maryville were with him and saw to it that he was airlifted back to Chattanooga's Memorial Hospital for emergency surgery. I just heard from Pat his wife this morning to say that he was awake eating breakfast and would be moved to a regular room later today. We've all known Bob was a remarkable person, but this proves it. Thank God that our colleagues were there to get him immediate care, and that the surgeons were able to stem the damage.
