Unfortunately, as we both know all too well, the assessment is not being
made by the diver in Cozumel.  Most of the 'tourist' divers are clueless to
the dangers or dont care they have just heard about the 'devils throat' and
want to dive it.  I have BTDT when a diver panicked in the throat and it is
not a pretty sight.  People in that state do not see the holes they do not
think the react and the first reaction is to go back the way they came.

To change the subject (moderately).

With the ever-increasing boat traffic in Coz, it is becoming more and more
dangerous to be on the surface.  Especially with some operators allowing
divers to be spread out all over the ocean.   Probably wont be long before
swim-thrus will be difficult cause the DM will be towing a float for the
entire dive.  That is probably the next 'regulation' we will see down there.
Take maybe one more diver being hit by a boat.
