I got three & don't have the faintest idea who makes them.
However, I have one that can be clipped onto my reel to use as a DRSMB for
UK dives, one that normally gets lent to someone else in the family when we
all go away together, and one I ALWAYS (since nearly getting hit by some
wa***r in a boat in Coz when I was surfacing just to the rear of the dive
boat) carry. I have a fixed 7m line on this and all the line (it's that
quite thick & stiff woven nylon stuff if you know what I mean) is pushed
inside the SMB with just a hand loop poking out. A small elastic band keeps
it rolled up & neat & tidy to stow in me pocket. It's easy to launch 'cos
all I need to do is flick off the elastic band, stick my little finger in
the loop & squirt some air from me occie in. The line comes out as it goes
up & at no time do you get it floating around waiting to entangle
something. With a bit of practice you can hold the SMB over the mouthpiece
& purge with one hand - when there is enough air in it will pull off.
Cheers.....
