I don't have a lot of trouble getting Jayna's attention. I have an
underwater whistle that she hears just fine or, as Christian suggests, I
shout at her. Either tends to be pretty effective. She has a lot more
trouble getting my attention. I have a noticable hearing loss in the higher
tones. I can't hear the alarms on my Citizen HA watch at all, not on the
surface, not under water, not with it pressed against my ear. I can hear
her whistle if she's close enough to touch me. Not a great situation.

I considered the Mini Hammerhead a couple of years ago. At the time, there
were two problems with it. I'd be interested to know if they have been
resolved. If so, I'm willing to give the unit a try.
1. Jayna uses a SeaQuest AirSource alternate inflator and a proprietary hose
connector. When I last checked, there was no method for adapting the
Hammerhead to the Seaquest fitting. I believe there was one for the more
popular Scuba Pro Air II. Is there an adapter now?
2. Locally, the Mini Hammerhead had an awful reputation for failing. My
memory may not be spot on, but I think the problem was more with its use
above the surface than below. While I understand it's primarily an
underwater device, few people can overcome habit by resisting its use any
time you want attention. Is the unit reliable?
