Why re-invent the wheel? Oh! And there's nothing wrong with learning by
combining experience with the knowledge of others who've gone before.

I assumed that you were referring to Australia - and was rather hoping that
you'd commit yourself to being specific for a change. You didn't! So
perhaps - lacking any first hand experience of the nature of the 'dangers'
to divers - you might be better advised to get your own books out! Or be
specific and tell me which 'camouflaged' fish; 'small clear jellyfish' and
'pretty small octopuses' can kill divers!
