Didn't get used much then, it appears.
Or I took care of them. Actually, it was a bit of both. The Duck Foot fins
got frequent use, but not for very long. I don't remember what I replaced
them with, but I think that was about the time I switched to a full foot
pocket fin. The first full foot pocket fins I remember owning were, I
think, US. Diver's Otarie fins. I wore out two pairs of them and had a pair
of red white and blue ones stolen from my car. I also wore out a pair of
Cressid Rondines and was using another pair when I first tried the Mares
Plana Avanti fins. I never wore the Cressi fins again. I went through one
pair of Avantis which I replaced with the TRE fins I have now. I mistreated
a pair of Power Quatros which are, as a result, more like a screw fin than a
paddle fin. I replaced them with the ones I presently use for spearfishing
and other times when power and acceleration are important to me.
