Thats an easy one. Nitrox has negative conotations. Enriched Air does not.
With 'nitrox' you have ox tox, and O2 cleaning, and all the bogey man
stories. With EAN, you have happy smiley faces and all is right with the
world. Beside, how could PADI castigate nitrox for years and blame it for
all the sins of the world and turn around and offer it as a course? Simple!
Call it EAN.
