G'Day, Monique! It's obvious that you've already got a head start on diving
with a surname like DeDiver! :-))

Contrary to popular belief, internet lists and News Groups are the last
place to go to learn about diving! Not least because all of us that might
offer advice - no matter how relevant we think it might be, nor how good our
intentions - do not have any responsibility for your in-water well-being!
:-)

Having said that, your questions - no matter the motivation - will always be
welcome. Not least for the fact that it stimulates debate and, (in some
cases) the thinking process that we begin to bear on our own diving
practices! :-)

Having said that: Where are you learning? Which country? What conditions?
etc. etc. :-)

At a personal level - Nope! :-)

That's the job of your instructor. But if you want to ask questions about
aspects of diving that you don't understand - or would like to know more
about - then just wade in and ask! :-))
