You and Carl may be right, but I suspect the technical aspects are more
complicated than they look on the surface. I don't know enough about video
to talk with any level of confidence, but it seems to me that if the two
media have to combine, it must be the video element leading, with the
pictures coming off the video. And I simply don't think any video today is
of the quality required, without requiring a suitcase to lug around. Does
anyone here have any authoritative source ?

It may happen! Based on my recent experience in AA, several have made it to
senior flight attendant already :-)
