Inez,
The main dive sites in Bali are:
- Nusa Penida (actually an island off the east coast, between Bali and
Lombok), good drift dives over healthy acropora coral reefs, a very
good (and reliable) manta site, and mola mola in season (roughly August
- October, right on your schedule);
- Tulamben, Ahmed, Kubu and surrounding area on northeast coast (the
very rich Liberty wreck, very accessible and easy to dive, interesting
combinations of reefs and black sand;
- Menjangan Island on northwest (classic walls)
There is also diving at places like Padangbai, Gilimanuk (Secret Bay),
Lovina). But I think two of the three locations above should keep you
busy.
I'll should still be in Bali next September - email me before you come.
