You've got my phone numbers. Let us know how things turn out and, if you need help, how we can best provide it.

Jayna told me she offered you guys sanctuary. I second the offer. Then again, Tropical Storm Jeannie is near Puerto Rico right now and expected to reach hurricane strength relatively soon. It's expected to turn north and miss me by a pretty good margin, but we all know how inaccurate such predictions can me. I'm pretty much in a direct line of its present direction and in the cone of possibilities. If Jeannie moves further west than predicted, as Ivan did, there's a fair chance I'll get hit twice in about a month period. No rest for the wicked.

At any rate, you and your family stay safe and be sure to let us know that you're OK once the danger is past.

Lee

Subject: [SCUBA-SE] Hurricane Ivan

Well hello folks,

This may be the last email for a while from me. As most of you probably know
(at least in the US) Hurricane Ivan at this moment a category 5 storm is
making its way to us. Landfall has yet to be determined but we are right in the
middle of the forecast cone.

Some of the predications have the storm going to the West of us a bit but
that puts us on the most dangerous side of the storm.

This may affect our trip to LaPaz of course. There was a Gulf Power (the
local utility company) email to all of its customers yesterday explaining that
power may not be back on for up to two months.

Wish us luck and I hope you all get another email from me very soon.

DeeDee that is on the list(a recent newcomer) lives on the beach so she has
the greatest chance of loss.

Take care and the rest of you make up for the diving we are going to miss.

Ray
