Found this to be a problem also. Tried on a TLS locally, then decided to
mail-order one from Mike's Waterfront - at a time when the DM-UKP exchange
rate still made this a good deal, 1996.

Sent it back, had the feet reduced by 3 sizes and the legs shortened by a
good 4 inches. So I now have a modified M, that fits just fine.
