I can't argue one way or the other. Well, I could, but there would be no
point. It's not my issue.

If you look around the various DIR sites, you'll find repetitive mention of
all kinds of adjustments for the left post roll off issue, from the
equipment itself, to the location of the hoses and guages, to how to deal
with one if it occurs. Up until the advent of the GUE Fundamentals course,
it was probably one of the most frequently discussed points after equipment
and philosophy. One of the best and most complete discussions, is also one
of the most recent. It's by George himself. Since I got it via link rather
than e-mail, there's no guarantee I can find it again, but if I can, I'll
share it.

It just seems that a problem that gets so much attention from those who are
most directly affected, would be worth solving, particularly in an
environment where everybody is subject to standards set by the leadership,
such as WKPP. My suggestion may not be the best solution, but it sure seems
to be a solution. It did not receive any real consideration in the open
forum. It did result in a lot of private e-mail from those that thought it
had merit. Even if the idea were the best idea since sliced bread, it's not
likely to be of any real impact unless the DIR leadership embraces it as a
standard or a manufacturer of tech equipment decides the idea's worth the
risk of production. I don't see either happening any time soon. 8^)
