The same way you calibrate/estimate how much weight you need WITHOUT
your body condom. Try to achieve neutral buoyancy on safety stop
with a near-empty tank and empty BC.

There is only one other way: fully soak your condom in whatever water
(sea or fresh) you'll dive. Then tie the suit onto a neutral bucket
and dangle it with just sufficient weight for IT to be neutral at
15 fsw. That is how much EXTRA you'll need. That's how much LEAD
your SUIT will need, independent of how much weight YOU need without
the suit.

Any other way is BS. :-) Of course you were just trolling for
BS weren't you, and got your fill.

If that were given as a physics quiz, then a case can be made that
you can deduce the VOLUME of your body (by the differential
buoyancy in salt and fresh water). Even then, we would need to
know the specific gravity of your body. But your WEIGHT (according
to Newton's apple), as we discussed in a previous lesson on
Archimedes, is not exactly a useful piece of info, wasn't it? :-)

Thus, you gave the irrelevant info just to throw the Bullshitters
off balance, didn't you? Says nothing about your VOLUME (for
Archimedes sake), says nothing about your BODY specific gravity
(a skinny trumpetfish full of skin and bones; a muscular bowling
ball like Pascual :-); or a tub of lard ... er like Nick <? :-)>.
Those come into play in Archimede's Principle in terms of how
much lead YOU need BEFORE putting on the 3mm suit.

The size and material of the 3mm suit could make a BIG difference
too. On this particular issue, Chuck is the only one who gave a
sensible explanation.

Not me! :-) I go to Las Vegas to watch crap shot; I go to a Texas
rodeo if I wanna watch bullshit. <BG>
