They were *both* Suunto's... The overly conservative was a Vyper.  The
one I was using
was a Solution Nitrox.  From what I've observed their line has become
consistently more
conservative as follows;

Solution (original)
Solution Alpha
Solution Nitrox (I believe this is about the same as the Alpha -
conservative wise)
Vyper
Vytec/Mosquito

There are the ones that I have direct, personal experience with - I
don't know where the others
would fall.
