Hello again Brad,

I've got a buddy of mine whose wife was out there for a couple of years and
she can give you alot of the inside info if you would like it.

We visited the fort when she was there and got to stay in the fort inside in
one of the converted rooms. It was a neat experience.

My buddies and I loaded up a boat with some extra fuel tanks and we launched
out of Key West and spent three days out there diving. We would go out of the
park and shoot our dinner and dive all day. As you know being a National Park
at that time they were very strict about having shot fish within the borders
of the park.
We would have to call in and inform the rangers exactly what we had on board
before we entered the park boundaries. A word of caution, the Coast Guard and
the lady that was in charge of the park BOTH had different ideas to the parks
boundaries so this seems to be arbitrary.
