I'd almost forgotten I was subscribed to this list. When I first joined I
asked a question and got no response other than a message suggesting I try
Scuba-L. Scuba-L is like a rowdy bar: Too much noise to carry on a
conversation and a roomful of people ready to bash your nose in if you look
at them the wrong way. If they're not too busy fighting among themselves,
that is.
Why *is* this list so quiet? There has to be plenty of divers in the
southeast US who want to discuss the sport without all the fireworks of
Scuba-L. Why does someone suggest to everyone who posts that they go
elsewhere? How many people are subscribed to this list? Who is the
listowner? So many mysteries...
Why don't we make an effort to revive Scuba-SE (if it ever was alive)? With
the listowner's permission, I would be willing to print up some fliers and
send them to a few dive shops throughout the region. We could also
advertise the list via e-mail. I would love to discuss diving in areas I
might actually be able to get to with people I might someday actually meet.

Is this thing on? Anybody out there??
