First start off by tossing that "hoseless transmitter" into the trash
where it belongs
and go buy a proper unit.

Threads do not need lube, good idea to use a bit on the O rings. If
you're going
to be diving nitrox or using it for O2 application, use an O2 compatible
lube. I have a small tub of this stuff that I bought for $40 a couple
years ago
(it's probably double that now).

It will *probably* last me another 10 years at least. I use it for all
of my
"lube" applications. I use all of my regs on all of my mixes
interchangably.
(That should bring a little life to the group!).
