I realized only TODAY, that the Pacific Princess is indeed called
the "Love Boat" (on its webpage).

I learned about the "Love Boat" factoid when I was looking up the
cruising speed of the Pacific Princess because I made the casual
remark that the cruiseship can run away from a hurricane faster
then a liveaboard boat, and our resident DONG-DONG immediately
flamed me:

So, I just looked up a couple of FACTS (rather than just saying
I've dived more liveaboards and have been on more cruises than
DING-DONG ever will) from the web:

Pacific Princess:    cruising speed 20 knots
Sapphire Princess:   cruising speed 23 knots

Cayman Aggressor:    cruising speed 12 knots
Okeanos Aggressor:   cruising speed 10 knots

The Pacific Princess is not the original Love Boat, because it was
Ranaissance R3 which did not come into existence until about 1998,
and the Renaissance cruise line went out of business circa 2000).

But the Love Boat can sure cross the Pacific much faster than the
Okeanos Aggressor you'll be on to go to Cocos Islands next month! :-)
