I do feel for you guys in Texas, I used to live in the Mojave desert and it would get real hot there as well. At least it was a dry heat, in St. Louis it can be 100f and 90% humid. My spelling is getting worse as I get older so excuse the spelling here. I hope it cools down for you all there.

Well, the air temp in Dallas was 43C today.  180F on the playing field at
