I did not like the first set of bio's that I tried for the same reasons
that you mention. I have not tried the heavier ones although we
have some at the shop. I have tried the Scubapro version though
and found them to be a decent fin. Performance wise, I could not
really add up to enough difference to warrant my wanting to buy a
set.
