What I have heard is that oceanfront property was pretty much gutted.  Structures are there but not much else. Punta Langosta was pretty well destroyed.  Rockn Java was completely gutted.  So at least on the lower levels, they probably took a beating.

'Hurricane proof' strikes me as hubris.  The Titanic (the Yamoto, and many others) was 'unsinkable'. Nature wins.

I suspect you are correct to assume you will not be stopping in CZM.  Though since Fox has property on the island, it could be cleaned up sooner.
