You are correct in your assessment. Take it as a slip of the keyboard. This
being said, the strafing allegations stand. I certainly do not wish to imply
that this was a frequent occurence from the part of US forces but it
happened. I wouldn't be too judgemental about it. Once one puts killing
instruments in the hands of young people in a combat situation, excesses are
bound to occur regardless of which uniform they wear.

I'll try to dig a couple of references to Dresden from the tons of books I
have in the guesthouse (no promise there as I literally do need to dug :-)).
