Very well put, good reason #1.

It so happened that on the particular day, it had a STRONG current
(pre-warned) which turned out to be the kind that blew the body
perpendicular to the ascent/descent line;  and poor vis.

Of all the discussions we've had on these LISTS about "Plan the
dive, and dive the plan", I am surprised that a QUESTION even arose
about the ESSENTIALS in a good DIVE BRIEFING -- for any dive,
under any circumstances, let alone a deep wreck (by Florida
standards), under adverse conditions.  It all added to the poor
reflection on FLORIDA dive operations and DMs.
