One minor correction here:  when connecting from Terminal B in IAH to
Terminal C, the only practical option I'm aware of is to take the
monorail.  This route is entirely within the secured area, so travelers
have no worries on that score.  This wouldn't be a consideration for the
original poster since he's coming in from EWR and CO Express doesn't
operate Jungle Jets on that route yet (whew!), but give 'em time.  There
are no mainline CO flights from Term B, only CO Express and alliance
partner Northwest, but ya never know who might find this relevant.  BTW,
CO doesn't operate from Terminal A in IAH.

My rule of thumb for connecting in IAH:  if connection time is less than
30 minutes, the other gate is always cross-terminal.  If connection time
is greater than 1 hour, the other gate is in the immediate area of the
arrival gate.  :-s
