Quite so. Apart from any other advantage, and there are a few, it'd be
pretty hard to "overtorque" a DIN first stage fitting.

Ain't "spin-doctor-speak" just beautiful? Given my rather cynical nature
it can bring joy to my (cynical) heart to act the cynic:

I only this week objected, rather strongly even though very politely,
when a very large Oz company phone rep said that she'd "change it for
me" - referring to their use in correspondence (as in the bill) of the
first part of my double barreled first name which always remains silent
(I'd originally and very carefully pointed this out, as always). I then
equally carefully explained to her that she wasn't changing it _for me_,
rather she was changing it as requested initially and, therefore, for
their organisation - otherwise I'd rather smartly become an ex-customer
of that organisation.

Bah!

Cheers,

Christian
