Indeed, especially after the UW magnification factor and a little
hyperbole, the essential ingredient of a Tall Tale. :-)

About 7 feet and nearly 2 ft wide at the pectoral(?) portion. Have
seen bigger ones only in the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos.

Is it possible to tell from the top? I would guess it was female
because they are the bigger ones, and its sleeping companion was
either its mate or juvenile offspring.

That's easy to fix. Just take off a few days and have a mini-NEDfest
