    I'll butt in here with an answer but I'm sure Wade will answer
also!! <G>  In the area of SE Florida where he's talking about the Gulf
Stream comes in pretty close to the coast. The water is usually warm and
very clear. Typically (or at least my experience is) this time of year
(Hurricane Season) the water isn't as clear, , , but in some instances
can be. This obviously was one of those instances!!

    I've dived PC a LOT and just like you, , , have rarely seen above
what you have. As many times as I've been to Ft. Lauderdale I've never
dived anything there. I always go North to Boynton or even more North to
West Palm.  Most of the diving is done within a mile of shore!!
