Hi all,

landed in Munich a few hours ago, all in one piece, but so far without
luggage. Which is apparently in FRA - certain airline employees still seem
to have problems with the concept of code share flights, so my bags
traveled on LH rather than on UA which transported my body to MUC.

Assuming that everyone else is home by now, the only one of us still
traveling is KK Viv, who should be in Heathrow now - as I type - with only
1/3 around the globe still left on her itinerary.

For those of you who left early: Viv, John, Brooxie and myself had 4 more
great days on G. Cayman - and I quickly realized what a bargain a
liveaboard is vs. a landbased trip there.

Anyway, the 6-pack that Thomas recommended (Red Baron) was a good choice.
Although the DMs Nick and Patrick were a bit prone to doing 'stupid
divemaster tricks' such as chasing turtles and eagle rays just to make sure
they disappeared quickly from sight, but we did not have to dive with them
and they left us alone after dive #1 (kinda like on the Aggressor). So I
tend to recommend them, they're better than the cattle boats any day.

Besides the diving we tested several (expensive) restaurants, ending up at
the Lazy Lizard a number of times the last few days. On the last day we
went on our round the island tour. Sent some postcards from Hell, but got
to the turtle farm too late. No idea if we missed something there, probably
not, from the looks of the place. But hey, we had a great time
post-NEDFest. Y'all should have hung around too.

All in all, this was an EXCELLENT trip (much better than going to the
dentist - oops, inside joke).

Thanks again to Crusty for organizing it and running a great risk with the
credit card. Thanks to everyone else for being a great group. I had dived
with many of the participants before, and it was good to meet the others
underwater as well. Well, Kuty, our deep dive we'll do next time.

Wish we could start this trip all over again. Since we cannot, let's just
plan the next one.

I will also be back as an active poster on the list now,

Michael
