Ha. So far, we've managed to dodge that particular bullet. There aren't
any, well there aren't many. The Department of Transportation sets the
standards for tanks and tank testing and somebody regulates the quality of
air used to fill them. The individual states set standards for bouys and
flags (previously discussed). Leave it to us to use a standard flag
different from the Alpha recognized pretty much everywhere else.

Our system is "self regulated" which you may assume means that the dive
shops and equipment manufacturers have control, constrained only by the
diving population's willingness, or lack thereof, to accept their rules. So
far, so good, but I won't be surprised to find more stringent government
regulation in our future. Fortunately for me, when that happens, I still
have the Bahamas close by.

BTW, I found it quite annoying to spend the time to download the two free
items, then have to go back and download and install a special plug in to
access them . . . only to find that what I have is last years drafts. Oh
well. As a source of food for thought, I guess they'll do.
