Michael,

<<<I don't see how it would have anything to do with the product
liability
case in question.>>>

It may not, , , and, , , the judge in the case will likely make
decisions about whether he believes it has anything to do with the
liability. I (on-the-other-hand) think it may have to do with that
"What a tangled web we weave" thingy!! <G>

All these divers (Skaggs, , , Lazdi and Ramio) were "Informed"
divers. They were not beginners or casual, , , 10 dive a year, , ,
divers who might not know the basic rules. They have repeatedly been
described as dive professionals who had 1000's of dives. Skaggs and
Lazdi broke the most basic of rules according to the article, , ,
regardless of whether they had computers or not. Some of the
information I've seen online suggests (to me) that there was opportunity
for Skaggs to actually have access to the information about the defect.
He knew and worked with (remember, , Skaggs and Gilliam formed TDI/SDI)
Gilliam in 1994 and 1998 with TDI/SDI. I don't know if that was
constant, , , or from time to time but Gilliam worked for Uwatec in 96
(I think) and Skaggs worked for them in that time frame. Gilliam was one
of the principals in the Uwatec "Wrongful Termination" trial in 98, ,
which the subject was the defect. Skaggs accident happened in 99.

Did Skaggs live in a bubble, , , of did he have some knowledge??

     Ramio, , , I don't know what he knew, , or didn't know. What I do
know is that he was a Store Owner and he sold Uwatec computers. Was he
also a Scubapro dealer?? Was he still a Scubapro/Uwatec dealer in
2000?? If so, , , he should have had knowledge of the defect. I do
know he had participated in dives with Gilliam and Skaggs, ,and, , had
experienced (first hand) a High Risk (Wah-Wah <G>) diving event. In
April, 2002, , , he may have been the victim of the defective computer.
He also may have been a victum of his own mistakes. At this point, , ,
we have no information about Ramio's dives prior to his hits!!

Alfred
