Crusty suggested only TWO of those three. La Chosa was Crusty's
third, which is not exactly known for good breakfasts. :-)

I am pretty sure they don't have investments in these restaurants, but
I am pretty sure that Texans (especially the Dallasians <g>) have
never been accused of having good taste when it comes to breakfast
in Cozumel anyway. <BG>Okay

IMNSHO about Cozumel, the best AND the most economical breakfast
(and hotel for that matter) is at the Bahia Suites Hotel (the
Headquarter of the Coz99NEDfest).

The Coz99NEDfesters pretty much agreed on the convenience and economical
aspects of the Bahia, but at that time the FREE Continental breakfast
was not included in the price of the room (which BTW has not increased
since 1999).

The free breakfast includes: Fresh squeezed OJ, coffee, fruit platter
and pastry trays from Las Palmeras restaurant at the square (whose
fruit platters and pastry trays are as good or better than any other
breakfast restaurant on the island), and two toasters to make your own
toast. That's usually more than sufficient for MY breakfast (and Mark
Bevelhimer (or anyone who has seen me eating a breakfast) can attest
to how much breakfast I can put away :-)).

Okay, so you DON'T like just continental breakfasts, but eggs, bacon,
ham, sausage, turkey, lizards, etc. No problem! Remember every room
at the Bahia has a fridge, and a kitchenette and utensils to cook
your own MEAL. The eggs in Cozumel are less than $1 for a carton
of 18 (at the supermarket) :-) If EGGS are all you want to add,
scrambled, fried, boiled, or raw <G>, it would take lass than a minute
to do it in your own kitchenette to complement the rest of the fruit,
breverages and pastries. No grits, but you can boil your own if that's
your thing. :-))

Coffee Bean on Calle 3 Sur is across the street from the Bahia. Haven't
found anything there that I want to cross a street for a return visit,
yet, except perhaps for a rare occasion they may serve a roadkill. :-)

You're probably already booked for your hotel, so this post is for you
or anyone on your NEXT visit to Cozumel, unless you want to cancel your
existing reservation and re-book. :-)
