Ron was a Scuba-L regular for many years until his tragic demise while
diving solo with a 'modular' rebreather that had been exhibited earlier that
year at the DEMA Show.

I'd forgotten all about those pages that Ron had put together.  It's rather
strange to think that it's still there.

That particular picture is one that was taken at Balmoral Beach, in Sydney's
Middle Harbour and right next to the Navy's Diving School.  TEAM ONE were
temporarily quartered there.  I was doing an article on the Clearance Diver
TEAMS and the guys donned their 'war-paint' for a photo shoot.  When they
emerged from the water onto the beach, young mothers quickly picked up their
children and speedily headed for the hills and safety!  :-)
