A PFO test would be a good idea even though the hit was minimal. Like others
have mentioned, I would suspect the quick ascent during a portion of the
profile.

There has been much discussion about this in the past. Not sure if there is
empirical evidence to support the theory but the yea's outweighed the ney's
on any discussion I have seen on the subject.

Possibly. I'd at least have the PFO test done, if for no other reason than
to eliminate it as a possibility.

Also, as others have said, I would be ashamed or embarassed about either the
hit or telling about it. Every trip underwater for any of us is a loaded gun
and none of us know when it might go off....
