Christmas party silly season and the end of year rush is finally calming

Yes, and I'm a convert... the quattros are better for control and
stability, for a cruising frog kick and for brief bursts of high power.
The duck fins are going back in the bag (at least until the next time I've
got strict space limitations on a trip...)

And I solved my trim problem by tying two x 1kg weights to the top of the
backplate. :-)

Great! Slipping them on in the RIB while everyone else struggled with
their clips was a treat...

So rude, I'm sorry! But I'm in Sharm for the last week in Jan - what are
the chances of you making it down? :-) Or me making it up to Eliat, come
to that. Any public buses running up the coast? :-)

Which ones did you think were beat up? There were a couple of sites (close
to Hurghada) which were wrecked, but at Shag Rock and (even more so) Giftun
Island the hard coral was very healthy - all small size, which suggests it
might be regenerating, but complete cover without dead patches.

Chrisola K was good, Sarah H was small but very nice, Carnatic and Giannis
D were very good, the Thistlegorm was excellent - more than lived up to the
hype, despite the crowds - but the real highlight was the Rosalie Moller.
Havn't got round to the trip report yet, but when I do I'll tell why I -
deliberately - skipped 11 minutes of computer deco, and lived to tell the
tale. :-)

Cheers,
Huw
