There is also BTW a dependency on the quality of the wet suit.  Higher
quality (smaller bubbles in the neoprene) generally require less weight and
compress less than cheaper (larger bubbles) wetsuits.  Didnt believe it but
have demonstrated it to my own satisfaction.
