'returt'? Now that's a word that we don't hear very often these days! In
my days it was commonly used to describe a, 'porraging and reaping'
expedition, by Bjorn's lot, on the eastern seaboard of England. As soon as
they discovered that - having 'reaped' a young maiden - they were expected,
(by the victim's parents), to eat boiled cabbage as a sign that they
intended to plight their troth, many of these previously brave warriors
would throw a wobbly, poke their fingers down their throats and 'returt' the
cabbbage.

They were interesting - if mindless - times! :-)
