While Independance Day is drawing to a close in the US things are just
warming up in Europe.

The Copenhagen Jazz Festival from July 6.
The Drogheda Samba Festival in Ireland - July 13.
Love Parade takes over Berlin - July 14.
The World Marching Showband Competition hits Potsdam in Germany - July 23.
The Lederhosen Festival in Austria - August 4.
The Air Guitar World Championships in Oulu, Finland - August 24.
Il Palio, on July 2 & August 16 in the Tuscan town of Siena.
The Cutty Sark Tall Ships race from Belgium to Denmark throughout July.
The San Fermin Festival in Pamplona from July 6-14 ... lots of nutty
aussies line up for this.
The Tour de France from July 7-29
The British Grand Prix from July 13-15.
Bastille Day - July 14
Finland's Wife Carrying and Barrel Rolling Championships July 14.
The World Viking Games in Sweden from July 12.
The Cycle Messengers World Championships in Budapest July 27.
The Great British Beer Festival takes place in London from July 31... I
wonder if Andy will be back home in time for that one ;-))
The Military Tattoo from August 3.
Edinburgh hosts their Fringe Festival from August 5.
La Tomatina in Bunol, Spain August 29.
The Twins Festival in Brittany August 14.
The Notting Hill Carnival August 26-27.
The World Bog Snorkelling Championships take place in Llanwrtyd Wells on
August 27.

Boy they sure know how to have fun in Europe. But I have to confess that
the one I would love to witness (from a safe distance) would be La
Tomatina. Apparantly it is the world's biggest foodfight & they estimate
they will dish out 50,000kg of tomatoes this year! Doesnt quite have the
same appeal as the old cream pie in the face joke .. but better than
nothing :-)
