Air travel considerations!

Before now, my fin-size was constrained by the fin-pockets of the LARGEST
gearbag on the market (Wenoka jumbo ... about 28" tall) which I used as
the checked-luggage (on flights, to hold only clothing and the fins).
I carried on ALL my essential dive gears so that even if all my checked
luggage were delayed/lost (it happened once), I wouldn't miss a DIVE!
Once landed, I switch all the dive gears into the divebag!

After the airlines tore up about half-a-dozen of such gearbags, I finally
bought the LARGEST regulation size luggage bag (with wheels) L+W+H =
exactly 62", the max size allowed by most airlines, to protect my
divebag!

The dimensions 30" x 21" of that luggage is just big enough to swallow
(hence protect) my DIVE BAG ... AND big enough for the 34" fins to fit
diagonally inside. 36" would have been too long! :-)

Besides, 34" is quite adequate to attract the attention of some female
divers on the boat. :-)
